Ideally, preparation for your tax appointment should begin in January of the tax year you’re working with. Right after the new year, set up a safe storage location – a file drawer, a cupboard, a safe, etc. As you receive pertinent records, file them right away, before they’re forgotten or lost. FREE Recycling Kits for Small Businesses

SBDC and CITD Small Business Advisor Gabriel Reyes brought this small business article to our attention. According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, local small businesses can get free “mail-back” recycling kits to help them legally recycle old fluorescent lamps, thanks to the Department of Environmental Health and a federal stimulus grant.
“The County strives to be business friendly and we want to make it easy for businesses to recycle,” said Supervisor Greg Cox. “This is also a good way to people to properly dispose of fluorescent lights and other electronic waste.” Get the details…
